Yes, we like to copy Andrew and Ashley.

They buy a Wii, we buy a Wii with plans to sell it on Ebay but then keep it.

They get a new baby kitty, we get a new baby kitty.

She is 12 weeks old, a torti, and her name is Molly.  Our other cat has not taken to her, yet, but she will come around.  She is cute except for her meow--she makes this scratchy-squeal that sounds like failing brakes in a car.

We have a lot of snow and ice right now.  I got out of work at 12:45.  Hopefully no work tomorrow.  Woo!

Andrew says, "This journal is more fun than a family of meerkats."

WOW!  What a week!

Wedesday, Anna came to visit.  Anna brought Emily with her from Indy.  I really missed Anna; she was the best lab partner ever!  "It smells lightly browned...." LOL!  So we had a good time.  And gin.  She spent the night in our extra bedroom.

The next morning, we woke up VERY early to go to Nashville.  What a great time!  We had a bit of confusion between I-40 East and West, and I had difficulty driving Eric's car, but it worked out fine.

Our first stop was Centennial Park.  We got to see the recreation of the Parthenon in the park (which was really cool).  We did not pay to go inside and take the tour; we just marveled at it from outside.  It was fun and the day was not too hot at that point.

We then went to Chili's for lunch.  They had an underground parking garage just for their restaurant (we thought this was a bit weird).  Lunch was very good.  Next, we went west into downtown Nashville.  We went to the Frist Museum and saw their exhibits.  One was an ancient Egypt tour with audio guides.  The other was a collection of famous photos.  I really enjoyed the museum.  We drove downtown and looked around for a bit, but we did not stop.

Next, we went to the zoo!  The zoo was so awesome.  It was a great setup.  The animal selection was not great, but the zoo itself was very nice.  We were also hot and not into looking around slowly.  If we had gone on a nicer day it would have been even better, but it was still great.  We had fun watching the giraffes.  The meerkats were so fun, too!  And the baby alligators were cool.  They had a nice selection of fish, too.  We watched the zoo people feed the fish while we were there.

After this, we went to a mall and wandered around but were not impressed.  Ashley looked for a pair of shoes but did not find any.  We looked in a few other random shops but it was not really worth the trip.

I got turned around this time and we had to take a detour to get back on the right road, but it was not a huge deal.  We stopped in Clarksville, TN and ate dinner at Ihop.  Eric got the wrong food, but he did not mind.  We completed the long journey home and slept very well.

This was the trip we should have had last year when a bunch of us went to Nashville.  I am so glad this one was much better!

Now it is the weekend!  Yay!

Noonay...you get a special entry. Happy Birthday. Sorry I missed your phone call; Eric was not feeling well and we were asleep early that day. I also apologize for being busy the last two days and not calling you back. You deserve a birthday wish in its own unique entry and here it is. Happy 21st. Enjoy all the rights and responsibilities that come with that age. I love you <3

Robbed [27 Apr 2006|03:05pm]
Today at work, a guy came up to me at the register and said, "I need a box filled with hundreds." My body went numb and I was very confused. My left hand was in my pocket and I flipped my phone open.

"Excuse me," I said. He repeated the same thing. I was scared and confused. Then he said, "You don't have those on your menu do you? I guess I'll just take a number three; to go." I was so terrified but I rang up his order anyway. He paid for it with cash. His change was 9.11; quite ironic. He left without saying anything else. It was one of the scariest experiences I have had at work.

Those of you who have returned: Welcome Back! We will try to make America as exciting as England but I know we will fail.

I worked at DQ this morning. I got my official promotion to shift manager. I am now the fifth most powerful person at the store behind Patricia, Sarah, Andrew, and Jeff. Apparently, I am the shift manager for Sunday nights and maybe another one during the day. Most importantly, a pay raise.

I used a pedometer and DQ today. I walked 3.32 miles during my shift. That is a lot of walking considering I am in such a small space!

I love sleeping in; it is so beautiful. It is currently raining and that sucks.

Well, brief entry. Catch you guys later!

Assuming the furniture store upholds their end of the bargain, I am less than three hours away from owning a sofa.

That is all.

A sample of our weirdness...

On accidentally calling people at work "honey"

NelxiUEOrgasm: Jade is a honey, though
mandrew monkey: Jade is.
mandrew monkey: they all are
NelxiUEOrgasm: except lester
mandrew monkey: I would vomit and stab myself if I ever accidentally called him honey.
NelxiUEOrgasm: i would put the cream I just did back inside me if I did that
mandrew monkey: ouch
mandrew monkey: you should at least clean it up.
mandrew monkey: it'll get sticky if you don't.
NelxiUEOrgasm: true that

Andrew came over last night and stayed until about 2:15 or so. It was wonderful talking forever because I have had so little adult contact aside from Nora lately. Eric and I selected a sofa today and we are going to order it on Monday.

I made spaghetti with meat sauce for lunch. We had chicken and beef quesadillas for dinner. I am so glad I have a kitchen and can cook now. And keep booze here. Our apartment is finished except for a computer desk, a sofa, and Ashley's music painting. Excitement builds!

Ashley comes back on Thursday. She said in her LJ she is not ready to come home; even though I know she is ready to see Andrew. They will not be here this weekend but I hope they will next weekend and we should have a sofa.

These entries are so scattered because I have not written lately. I shall post pictures of the (furnished) apartment tomorrow or Monday! See you guys soon. Have a safe trip home those of you traveling this upcoming week!

Oh the randomness of college life.  I will miss that the most.  Today we jumped Sydney's car.  It was a group effort for all three of us because we were not exactly sure how to do it.  We jumped off of Stef's car which was confusing because it was German engine jumping American engine so we got confused a couple of times as to what we were doing.  But it was fun.  After Syd's car started, we let it run for a bit so we ran to Lowers.  Nobody took her car but we wanted it to run longer.  We sat in the middle of the parking lot and ate lunch/dinner.  Many people gave us strange looks.

Tomorrow Eric and I are touring our possible apartment complex.  I am very excited about it.  I also have a mission to accomplish tomorrow and I have to go to the bank during my lunch.

Since our living room is going to be music themed, we have decide upon some things to purchase.  I will make the purchases this week.  What do you guys think of our decorative ideas?

List of stuff )

I have not updated in a very long time. My days are mostly the same and nothing extremely exciting happens so there is nothing to put in here. The only amusing part of the week was the night Stef and Syd came over and watched American Idol with Eric and me. That caused a lot of excitement and a good time.

I worked Saturday at DQ and I messed up 100,000 things. I am sure they will fire me soon. This was the first time I have worked during the day and people order mostly food during the day instead of ice cream so I was entering food into the register wrong. Fucking registers with too many buttons and menus.

Eric and I went couch shopping. We have found a couple that we think we like and may purchase in the near future. We are going to look at more places today.

He has had the stragest cravings for dairy! We are going to have to live on a farm with lots of cows. He almost drank a half gallon of milk last night! How crazy is that?!

Last night Stef and Syd returned from a cigarette run and they were in my room for a while eating. Then Eric started eating chips, so I had to eat something because I felt left out. We then went to the lobby and Stef played Syd at Chinese Checkers. There was no competition because Stefanie is amazing at that game. I was impressed. Sorry Syd! Eric would not learn how to play chess so we played checkers, I game I suck at playing. I won, though, and now I like checkers a little more than before. We then played Simpson's Clue, which was a grand time. I guessed two of the three things correctly but since one was wrong I was out of the game. Darn. Hehe. Stefanie won that game, too.

Why will no one play chess with me? It is sad. This is enough of an update for tonight...catch everyone later!

5 Guilty Pleasures [24 Jan 2006|04:27pm]

From Casey:

Ground Rules: The first player of this "game" starts with the topic "5 Guilty Pleasures" and people who get tagged need to write an LJ entry about their 5 Guilty Pleasures as well as state this rule. In the end, you need to choose the next 5 people to be tagged and list their names.

1. 80's music...it's so bad that you have to love it!

2. HGTV...OMG!  I'm so gay!

3. Margaritas...they are so good!

4. Sci-Fi movies and TV shows!  I try not to tell people but they are so much fun!

5. Sex.  Not a guilty pleasure so much as a pleasure.

Tag, you're it!

The more Eric and I talk about moving in together the more exciting it becomes. For me, a big part of it is the fact that we like to hang out, we like to drink, and we like to eat...but a major problem is that we are both home-bodies and do not like to go out. Now we can have people over to hang out, drink in our home, and make our own food. The even bigger benefit? Living with Eric (finally). It has been two years, I think it is about time ;)

For now, I am away to sleep and dream about things such as not working for three days. Talk to everyone later!

No updates from me this week. Work is going okay and I am finally learning how to do some things. It is not harder than I expected but it is quite different. I was not expecting to have to remember so much stuff when we get busy. There really is a lot of stuff to do when people come in droves. Met some crazy cunt...customers.

After work I went back to UE and went with Eric and Andrew to IHOP. A short time later Stef, Syd, and Nick joined us. Nick was quite drunk and yelled penis. The best part of the night was the crazy 16 year old who decided to speed out of the parking lot like a "bat out of hell" to look cool. After speeding for about 2 seconds, she hit a parked car in the lot. Nick began laughing loudly. It was great fun.

Saturday I was off and Eric and I went to the zoo. We saw fun animals and got some great pictures. It would be a lot more fun in the Spring but it was still good times. We had dinner with Chris and Derek at Chilis. We did all of our usual bumming around and I tried to Sonic Smoothies (which are quite good).

Today we went to Target and Wendy's. We watched some TV, then Eric went home. I have very little to do today so I am just taking it easy updating my LJ. Catch everyone later!

Ok Ash-
Here is our painting idea. We want one the size of the one I modeled for, so you have a fairly large area on which to work. We want a man sitting down playing a saxophone. This can be indoors, outdoors, on a street corner, wherever. We want the colors to be blacks and greys, maybe some dark blues and greens. But the saxophone should stand out and be its normal brass color. We also want musical notes hidden throughout the picture...like the chair legs or a railing or something. Does that make sense? I hope that is enough of an idea for you to start some sketches in your free time; obviously you have a long time before you can actually paint it.

And we can pay you for it beforehand if you would like. So that is our idea, yar?
